Taking good care of your handbag will definately increase its longevity. Many of the handbags and purses that NwVanity.com carries, are made with synthetic materials that are easily maintained by wiping them with a clean damp cloth. Suede and leather handbags can more expensive, which is all the more reason to protect them. Although not a cure all, we've included the following tips to help you keep your bag looking great:
- Wipe your leather handbag with a clean moist cloth before applying any protective treatment. - Treat your leather and suede handbags with a weatherproofing treatment. Weatherproofing treatment creams and sprays are available at most shoe and handbag stores as well as leather retailers. - Handbags made of synthetic materials are easiest to maintain can can be wiped with a clean moist cloth. Spot remover can also be used if the bag is heavily soiled. - Remove dust from a suede handbag with a suede brush or clean dry terry cloth towel. - Its important to keep suede handbags from becoming wet. If your bag does get wet, pat it dry as much as possible with a clean dry terry cloth towel and then let it continue to dry at room temperature.
