There are so many exciting trends this winter.

BAGS

Python and alligator embossed handbags are all the rage this winter. In Style magazine recently featured python and alligator embossed bags as one of this season’s must haves. Handbags are always an easy way to add style to an outfit and python bags are no exception. Python bags can add rich color as well as texture to an outfit and there are many different styles to choose from. Whether you prefer a satchel handbag, shoulder bag or tote, there are python bags to fit the bill.
If you want to stay in style, but prefer a more understated look, then a black alligator embossed bag will do the trick.

If you prefer a more timeless classic look, there are many quilted leatherette bags available. Quilted, pleated and pin tucked bags can add a bit of interest to an outfit, just as the python bags do. Weather you choose a quilted bag, pleated bag or are looking for something completely different, there are many great colors to choose from. Even a winter white can provide a classic look, but there are wonderful cranberry tones, reds and blues that will be a stand out.

JEWELRY

Python and pearls have it this season. They add a bit of luxury and class to a simple cocktail dress or business wear. Large blue pearls and chains are this season’s top selling necklaces and earrings. As with the handbags, python bangle bracelets add a rich feeling, color and texture. And you can mix them up. You don’t have to wear a pearl bracelet with pearl earrings and necklace. A pearl necklace with a mixture of python bangel and metal bracelets work well together if you have a solid or simple print outfit. Have fun and mix it up!

WATCHES

Multi strap watches (or watches with bands that wrap around the wrist several times) were also featured in In Style magazine and the new “must have” style. Multi strand bands are available in metal tones, earth tones, as well as fun vibrant colors.

Handbags are an essential part of every wardrobe, but do you know how to choose the best bag for your body type? If not, here are a few handbag tips:

A handbag will accentuate what ever part of the body it hits. For example, if you want to accentuate your bust line, choose a bag with a short shoulder strap that will fit under the arm.

If you are very petite, stay away from very large handbags that will overwhelm your frame. Clutches and baguettes with shoulder straps are generally flattering for petite frames.

If you are short and round, a longer rectangular handbag with will elongate and flatter your frame.

If you are large busted or have very broad shoulders, purses with longer shoulder straps work best. Cross body and messenger style bags are good examples as they will not add width to the upper body.

If you are tall and thin a fuller bag, such as the Lauren Handbag by Big Buddha, can be very flattering.

I you have a large frame, choose a larger bag rather than a small clutch. The larger handbag will balance with your frame rather than making you appear larger. A clutch is still fine for evening ware, as long as it rectangular and a fairly good sized bag.

If you have a tiny waist that you want to show off, choose a shoulder handbag with a longer strap or satchel style handbag. If your handbag either rests against the side of your waist or is held near the waist, it will draw attention to that area.

Clutch handbags can flatter any body type as they can be carried at almost any place on the body. For example, most satchel handbags can be carried over the shoulder, at waist length by carrying it over your bent arm, or be carried lower on the body by carrying it in your hand with your arm straight.
